MosCom Introduces
sDSL Service
MosCom is now offering high-speed information and voice access at a more affordable price via the MosCom sDSL (Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) service. Using ordinary copper telephone lines, customers can have up to 2.3 Mbps speed. Users get 256 Kbps for the price of a 64-Kbps leased line.
"sDSL is an affordable solution that eliminates the hassle of getting a telco leased line, which normally takes 45-60 days," said Dennis
Guda, manager of MosCom's Corporate Accounts Group. "sDSL has leased line performance without a physical leased line. While leased line connections are limited to local loop size, bandwidth through
sDSL, can go to 2.3 Mbps."
MosCom sDSL supports both voice and data transmission simultaneously over the same line. Its plug-and-play feature removes the usual nuisance of installation and connection. With this type of connection, users can make regular calls on their telephone while online, without interruption to their Internet connection.
"This is the best connection option for branch offices, corporate local area networks, hotels, condominiums, universities, and government offices," Mr. Guda said. "And it is cheaper than our leased line services."
The MosCom sDSL service is now operational.
