Mozcom Announces Unlimited Mobile Data Roaming Plans

Nov 14, 2007—Business executives and professionals can now have reliable, high-speed and unlimited mobile Internet access while traveling abroad through Mozcom’s iPass Mobile Data roaming service.  By utilizing its foreign mobile telco partners’ data network infrastructure,  customers can connect their laptops to the country’s broadband cellular network and access the Internet as much as they want.

The Mobile Data service supports the native cellular signal of the host country whether it be standard GPRS, HSDPA, 3G, UMTS, PHS or CDMA.  Mozcom will provide the customer with a PC Card that can be plugged into a notebook to gain access to the data network.

"Unlike wi-fi, you don’t have to bother finding a nearby hotspot," said Robertson Chiang, Mozcom's COO/CTO.  “With the Mobile Data service, you immediately enjoy nationwide wireless access because the cellular signal already covers the entire country.”  Mobile Data is initially available in Singapore, US, UK, Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Analyst firm IDC Inc. has recently placed iPass in the "Leadership" section of its Worldwide Mobile Device Management Enterprise 2007-2011 Forecast and 2006 Vendor Shares report.  "One of today's biggest IT challenges is maintaining visibility and control over the growing number and variety of mobile devices used by the workforce," said Ken Denman, chairman and CEO of iPass. "iPass' position in the 'Leadership' section of IDC's report confirms our success in helping companies effectively deal with this challenge.”

Aside from Mobile Data, Mozcom also offers international dialup and wi-fi roaming services in hundreds of cities worldwide.  iPass users can enjoy Wifi access in most airports, hotels, convention centers and retail locations worldwide.  As of Nov 2007, iPass tallies approximately 90,000 worldwide hotspots across 70 countries.  Email sales@mozcom.com for details.
