Mozcom Introduces Time and Attendance Device using Facial Recognition Technology
(Manila, Philippines) Mozcom announced the latest addition to its NetSecure line of biometrics-based security solutions. The NSL-302 time and attendance device uses advanced biometric technologies to accurately identify an employee and log his attendance. A high-definition infrared camera allows detection of faces even in low-lighting conditions, while an optical fingerprint scanner can be used to capture fingerprints. A large 4.3-inch TFT screen provides colorful visual feedback to the user.
The NSL-302 does not require a PC to operate. However, a PC is necessary for downloading the log entries and processing the reports. The PC may connect to the unit via USB, or through the wired or Wifi network via TCP/IP. Traditional RS-232/485 connectivity is also supported. An optional 2000mAh battery provides backup power to keep the device running even during power failures. Furthermore, the device may be connected to an electric lock or electro-magnetic lock to control physical door access. It can also be connected to electro-mechanical turnstiles or human barriers to control human traffic.

Up to 700 faces and 3,000 fingerprints may be registered on the NSL-302. This should be sufficient to serve the needs of majority of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME's). Verification time of 1.5 seconds or less is achieved using high-speed matching algorithms.
Mozcom is the Philippines first commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) and is a provider of several biometric solutions. It is the Sole Philippine Distributor of Neurotechnology software development kit and licenses. Mozcom is also a reseller of DigitalPersona optical fingerprint scanners.
