Mozcom VCall Gives Free International Calls to OFWs
Free calls anyone? In time for the yuletide season, Mozcom was generous enough to let the participants (and passers-by in the mall, for that matter) of the Go Negosyo para sa OFW and Balikbayans make calls to their loved-ones abroad using the Internet for free. Yes, that’s right, for free. This is to showcase the newest technology being offered by the country’s pioneer ISP -- Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service called Mozcom VCall. As one of the sponsors of the said event, Mozcom was given an exhibit space where the calling stations were placed and readily available for those who want to try out the service. Some smiled, laughed and even cried as they speak to their loved ones abroad. Each caller was given five minutes.
The Go Negosyo para sa OFW and Balikbayans ran from December 15 to 17, 2006 at Market!Market! Trade Halls A and B. The event is intended for OFWs and their families who want to start business in the country. There were several forums whose aim is to encourage Filipinos in further developing entrepreneurship in the country. One of the highlights of the event was the awarding of the Most Inspiring OFW Entrepreneur.
