Mozcom Accredited as IBM POS Reseller

IBM Distributor, Continuum Technology Corporation, has accredited Mozcom
Inc. as a reseller of the IBM Point-of-Sale (POS) platform. Mozcom customers
can now enjoy the stability of the IBM POS platform, and integrate it with
other peripherals such as printers, display terminals, touch screen monitors
and cash drawers, to run the powerful, Internet-ready, NetProfit POS system
software.
The IBM 4810™ SurePOS 300 series of POS hardware are specialized PC’s
specifically hardened for the retail industry. It comes in a small form
factor to save on precious counter space especially in retail stores and
restaurants where countertops often feature impulse-buy or promotional items.
The SurePOS 300 does not have floppy drives or CD-ROM drives where viruses
are commonly introduced into the system. Special filters are installed to
prevent dust from entering the chassis.

platform.
The NetProfit POS system software boasts of advanced features such as smart
card integration for loyalty programs or electronic wallet applications.
It also comes with built-in biometric support for fingerprint authentication
of cashier identification and supervisor overrides of transactions. It can
export data in real-time over the Internet using the XML and Web Services
standard. It can only integrate with the mobile world by allowing managers
to access real-time sales data over the Wireless Access Protocol (WAP).
