Mozcom NetVideo Line Expands to Standalone IP Cameras
January 3, 2006

Mozcom announces the immediate availability of two new standalone IP camera models — the NVL-200 and NVL-300. Both models are under the NetVideo Lite family of full-featured Internet video appliances.

The NVL-200 offers a 1.3 Megapixel resolution using a 1/2” SXGA color CMOS sensor. It weighs a mere 350g and connects directly to an RJ45 Ethernet cable. It is capable to recording to a remote Windows or Unix/Linux file share without the need to run extra drivers or a PC-based client application. The video is streamed directly onto storage.

The NVL-300 is a more powerful model, offering hardware-based MPEG4 compression. It can run at full 30 fps at Full-D1 (720x480 in NTSC) settings, and the bit rate can be controlled from 64kbps to 2mbps. The lens is replaceable and can be customized based on client requirements.

Both models can be configured for events like motion detection, network failure detection, and alarms. It can be programmed to generate responses to these events such as sending an email or activating an alarm.

The NVL-200 and NVL-300 can be easily managed using a standard Microsoft Internet Explorer browser and through the VioGate Master central management software. Manual record and snapshot taking is supported for transferring to a PC. Advanced network features include Dynamic DNS, PPPoE, HTTP, SMTP and Multicast.
