Subscriber Advisory on MyDoom/Novarg Worm

A new computer virus/worm called MyDoom or Novarg was discovered to have been infecting computers worldwide in the past couple of days. It spreads via mass-email as an attachment with file extensions of .bat, .cmd, .exe, .pif, .scr, and .zip.

This worm affects the following operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows XP. This worm can also spread through the P2P file-sharing network Kazaa.

We urge you to check your computers to determine if you have been infected by this worm, and most of all avoid opening suspicious email attachments. Also, update your computer virus protection.
