Mozcom Sponsors 1st Philippine Mt. Everest Expedition
March

2006
Mozcom is proud to announce that it has signed up with the First Philippine
Mt. Everest Expedition (FPMEE) to be its Official ISP. The team aims to
bring glory to the Philippines and lift the spirits of the Filipinos by
showing that all things are possible through unity.
As the Official ISP, Mozcom will develop, maintain and market the official
website of the team. It will also help raise sponsorship funds for the team
by selling souvenir shirts and accepting donations through the award-winning
PayEasy Online Payment System.
While the entire team is expected to climb in 2007, a reconnaissance party
will climb by May of 2006. The advance party has been acclimatizing in Nepal
since February. The advance climb is expected to give them enough experience
to help lead the whole team in the 2007 Unity Climb.
"FPMEE is privileged to partner with Mozcom. Through the services
Mozcom will provide for us, we will be able to further promote Filipino
values like bayanihan, which is at the core of the team's endeavors, to
the international mountaineering community as well as Filipinos and foreigners
who are looking forward to learning about the team's progress," says
Art Valdez, FPMEE President. "On top of this, Mozcom allows us an opportunity
to gather all kinds of support for the expedition."
"We are excited to be part of this historical event," says Dick
Chiang, Mozcom's COO/CTO. "We chose FPMEE to represent Mozcom because
we strongly identify with the core values that they espouse--being Filipino
pioneers, valuing teamwork, and being focused and committed to their goal."
Special Edition Nitro-Everest prepaid Internet cards will be sold online
at the website. Part of the proceeds will be donated by Mozcom to FPMEE.
