Mozcom will participate in the Go Negosyo TechnoNegosyo Expo to be held on September 14 and 15, 2006 at the World Trade Center. TechnoNegosyo aims to promote technopreneurship among Filipino businesses.
Part of TechnoNegosyo is the recognition and awarding of the Ten Inspiring Technopreneurs of the Philippines. Dr. William Torres, co-founder of Mozcom, has been chosen as one of the awardees, and as such, will be present to receive his award during the said dates. "We are very happy to see Dr. Torres being selected for the prestigious roster,"says Mozcom President, Dick Chiang. "As the acknowledged Grandfather of Philippine Internet, he is deserving of the award. He is truly one of the Philippines' most inspiring technopreneurs."
Mozcom will have an exhibition booth located at booth #77.


The Mozcom PayEasy booth will showcase some of PayEasy's merchants - Fliptunes, myBookstore, and Virtual Blooms, as well as, the First Entrepreneurial E-commerce Excellence (E3) Awards.
PayEasy is Mozcom's winning entry in the Search for Best IT Products and Services Competition at the 2006 E-Services Philippines (ESP) Awards. It is an online payment facility that supports all major credit and ATM cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB Diners Club, Discover, BancNet and MegaLink. It also supports proprietary currencies such as Paypal, UCPB my1Time, Smart Money and Globe G-Cash.
E3 Awards is geared towards the college and post-graduate students. It is an inter-university competition that espouses the value of technopreneurship and e-commerce. Students will be tasked to develop actual, functioning e-commerce businesses with an active online payment system. It offers cash prizes and plaques for the winning entries. The first placer, in particular, will receive a generous fifty-thousand-peso cash prize. "Through this activity, we want to encourage students to think like entrepreneurs and take their businesses online," says Dick Chiang.
Virtual Blooms (http://www.virtualblooms.com) is an online flower shop aimed at families and friends who would like to send each other flowers from across the continents, not just the Philippines. The booth will proudly display an array of colorful flower arrangements, all of which are available to order from the Virtual Blooms website. Users can easily access the website and pay for their purchases online through PayEasy.
Fliptunes (http://www.fliptunes.net) is the premiere online digital retailer of Original Pilipino Music (OPM). It offers easy downloads of yesterday and today's OPM artists. Users can download songs, videos, or even entire albums at reasonable prices. A noteworthy feature is its Digital Rights Management (DRM) feature, which protects the music from copyright infringement. The website also makes use of Mozcom's PayEasy for its online payment system.
myBookstore (http://www.mybookstore.ph) is an online one-stop bookshop. It features a wide selection of books from local and foreign publishers which the customer can also purchase online through PayEasy.
