Mozcom's
PayEasy Online Payment Gateway version 2.0 can now support payments using
PayPal, Globe's G-Cash, BitPass and credit cards. PayPal is a very popular
email-based payment system available in 56 countries, and used by more than
78 million Internet users worldwide. It is owned and operated by eBay, the
wildly successful auction site. BitPass specializes on micropayments and
is backed by several venture capital firms including the venture arm of
Disney.
"This new facility is a great feature especially for exporters who
can now use our facility to accept payments from foreign customers without
the hassle of opening their own Internet merchant account and putting up
the technical infrastructure," says Dick Chiang, Mozcom's COO/CTO. "They
can just have their site hosted at Mozcom and we will take care of the rest
while they focus on running their businesses. Whether they are selling US$5.00
or US$5,000.00 items, we have the payment solution for them."
Mozcom postpaid subscriptions can now be settled using the new features. "Postpaid
subscribers with relatives abroad now have the option of having their bills
paid by their loved ones," Chiang added. MozcomNitro prepaid accounts
are now also available through online purchase with PayPal, BitPass and
credit cards.
Users without, or who do not wish to open, PayPal or BitPass accounts can
still use PayEasy 2.0. They can choose the PayPal DirectPayment option and
use a credit card. Currently supported credit cards include Visa, MasterCard,
American Express and Discover.
Mozcom may very well be the first local ISP to accept G-Cash payments for
postpaid subscriptions. In cooperation with Globe Telecoms, this mobile
commerce solution allows Globe Handyphone users to pay using their cellphones.
PayEasy 1.0 previously only accepted local Bancnet Online and UCPB's my1time
payments.
Mozcom was established in 1994, making it the Philippines' 1st commercial
ISP. Its nationwide pure-IP backbone was the first of its kind, and to this
day, provides the infrastructure that runs corporate virtual private networks
(VPNs), the campus network of the major educational and research institutions,
and provides true dialup roaming for mobile users from Northern Luzon to
Southern Mindanao. For more information, visit http://www.mozcom.com or
