PayEasy supports Charitable Causes

UNICEF AND HARIBON ACCEPTS ONLINE DONATION

The Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources is a membership organization dedicated to the conservation of Philippine biodiversity.  Recognizing the need to expand its donor base to a global community, Haribon signed up with Mozcom PayEasy for an online donation facility.

“The online donation facility will allow anyone who believes in Haribon’s programs to effortlessly donate any amount that they feel is within their budget.  No amount is too big or too small,” said Dick Chiang, COO/CTO of Mozcom.  “Even young children will be able to make a difference by donating P10 from their allowance, if they wish.”

The name “Haribon” was coined from the words “haring ibon,” referring to the Philippine Eagle.  The Philippine Eagle is the icon that signifies the importance of protecting biodiversity in the Philippine territory.  Its presence is a constant reminder to the Filipinos to be continuously involved in taking care of our environment.

Aside from Haribon, Mozcom PayEasy also powers the online donation facility for UNICEF Philippines (unicef.payeasy.ph).  UNICEF online donors can even avail of the monthly pledge facility wherein they can input their credit card information and allow PayEasy to automatically charge their donation on a scheduled basis.

“We are honored to be associated with Haribon and UNICEF and to be able to contribute to their causes, in our own small way, by accepting online donations,” added Chiang.  Mozcom absorbs a portion of the fees normally levied by credit card companies and donates it back to the respective charities.
