Snap, Look & Listen — The Picatoo Official Launch Party

Mar 30, 2007 -- Picatoo was officially launched to the public through a mini-concert and dinner with press and partners. The launched, entitled Snap, Look and Listen, was held at Merk's Bar & Bistro in Greenbelt 3.  Orange and Lemons (of Pinoy Big Brother fame) performed for the evening and gamely had their photos taken with the audience, much to the delight of the crowd.

Also at the launch were Fuji YKL Color Lab, Polaroid and Samsung Mobile. Fuji YKL brought their portable printer where people with camera phones can print using their phone's infrared port.  A 5-megapixel Fuji FinePix digital camera was raffled off to a lucky guest.

The event was in partnership with PULP Magazine, the leading lifestyle music magazine.  Concurrent to the launch was a virtual photo exhibit entitled Seven Deadly Sins, the theme of this year’s PULP Summer Slam, and The Best of PULP Covers, which featured the best images taken by renowned photographers such as Xander Angeles, Jun de Leon, Erwin Barleta, and Tom Epperson.

PULP’s library of photos remains unrivaled in artistic quality and depth, as evidenced by both collections.  Discussing the creative direction of the Seven Deadly Sins collection, Go says, “in the fine tradition of coming up with shows that not only blast eardrums into smithereens, we also develop shows that capture the concertgoer’s imagination.  I am certain [that] we [can] achieve this with [the collection’s] powerful albeit disturbing images.”

Another highlight of the evening was the awarding of the winners for the 1st Entrepreneurial E-Commerce Excellence (E3) Awards.  Unionbank officers were present to award the top prize.
